October

The next month looks pretty damn good for new music. Nightwish has a new album out, Serj Tankian's solo album will be released and in early November there's new Dillinger Escape Plan. Opeth will put out another live DVD, one with a setlist that I once saw in a wet dream.

And if that wasn't enough (you read it here tenth!) Radiohead has just announced, completely out of the blue, that their new album will be available online next week. And without a record label to dictate things they've set the price at 'whatever you feel like paying'.

Ummm, I have no idea what to make of that last bit.

Requires investigation

yeah, I heard that too. You can download an online copy version and nominate how much you wish to pay for it. Or you can pay for a boxed edition set. I'm guessing Johnny would buy the boxed set anyway, going by previous experience (ala Buffy, Angel, etc..). Am I right?

Yep. I'm a boxed set man, yeah. What I'm going to do with LPs though, I'm not sure.

Hmm. think I'm going to look into the online thingy, for nothing more than the novelty of it.

Also, still in a 'trying not to accumulate crap' zone...

Which means no CD's. /sob

Fair enough. The only real reason I'm getting the box set is for the bonus disc...

You could always give the LPs to me :P

Well they're yours if you want them! I don't even have an LP player.
